How to Safely Package Your Jewelry
Please use the following guide to securely package your jewelry for resizing.
Required Items
- Jewelry to be sent
- NIWAKA jewelry pouch
- Certificate of Authenticity
- Bubble wrap
- Packing tape
- Cardboard box x2
- Permanent marker
Important Points
- To avoid damage, be careful to not drop your jewelry during the packaging process.
- Do not use padded envelopes (bubble mailers) or pouches as they are vulnerable to impact.
- If you do not have a NIWAKA jewelry pouch, you can carefully wrap the ring directly with bubble wrap.
- Please do not write words on the outside of the box indicating that it contains jewelry.

x NIWAKA - The size of your finished package must not exceed 8 x 8 x 8 inches (length, width and height), and its weight must not exceed 3 lbs. In the case of paid services, if these limits are not met and the actual cost of shipping to Japan is higher than the amount billed in advance, the additional costs will be charged to you.
Please follow these steps to safely package your jewelry.
- Place your ring into the NIWAKA jewelry pouch, keeping it away from the snap to avoid damage.
- Carefully wrap the pouch in bubble wrap. Continue wrapping until the thickness reaches 4 inches (10 cm) on all sides.
- Place the bubble-wrapped pouch and the Certificate of Authenticity inside a small cardboard box. Fill any gaps with bubble wrap, packing peanuts, or packing paper so that the jewelry cannot slide around inside the box.
- Securely tape the box down the middle seam and each edge.
- Write the shipment tracking number on the outside of the box. This helps to ensure that your package will arrive at its destination even if opened during customs procedures.
- Place the box inside a larger cardboard box and again fill any gaps.
- Securely tape the box down the middle seam and each edge.
