What Is a Security Code?
A card security code (also called a card verification value, card identification number, or card validation code) is a number you enter to confirm that the person placing the order is the cardholder. As a rule, the security code is printed on the debit or credit card itself.
American Express: The four digit number is located on the front of the card above the bank card number.
Visa/Mastercard: The three digit number is located on the back of the card, usually following the bank card number in the signature line.
