How to Care for Your Jewelry
What should I do to care for my jewelry?
To ensure that you can enjoy your NIWAKA jewelry for years to come, it is important to store and care for it properly. Please see the Care and Handling Information page for detailed instructions.
Jewelry Repairs
Can I get my ring resized?
Yes. The majority of our ring designs are eligible for a one-time complimentary resizing service if you contact us within 30 calendar days from the date of delivery with your desired ring size. This includes insured shipping to and from Japan at no additional charge. You will need to provide the Certificate of Authenticity that originally came with your ring.
Requests for a second or further resizing or requests made after 30 calendar days from the date of delivery will incur a resizing fee. Please see the After-Sales Services page for more details.
If you are unsure about which ring size you require, Ring Sizing Kits are available for purchase to measure your Japanese ring size.
After sending my ring for resizing, how long will it take for the ring to be shipped back to me?
Regardless of whether the service is complimentary or paid, rings sent for resizing or exchange will be shipped back to you approximately 7 to 9 weeks after we receive them. However, the delivery time may be longer depending on the design and condition of the ring, or due to national holidays. Please note that the aforementioned resizing period of 7 to 9 weeks does not include the initial inquiry period or the shipping period to Japan. Can you repair my jewelry?
Yes. We are happy to provide repairs and other maintenance services to help keep your jewelry as beautiful as possible. Please feel free to send your inquiry using the Contact Us page. For more details, please see the After-Sales Services page.
Can you give me price and delivery time estimates for the repairs?
Price and delivery time estimates for repairs and other paid after-sales services will be quoted individually after we confirm the condition of your jewelry. For more details, please see the After-Sales Services page.
Please note that it may not be possible to fulfill some requests due to the design or condition of the jewelry, so please consult with us using the Contact Us page before sending your item.

Jewelry Repair Process
How can I get my jewelry repaired?
If you wish to have your jewelry repaired, please message us using the Contact Us page. After receiving your request, we will contact you to confirm the condition of your jewelry and discuss the required services. For a detailed description of our repair and maintenance process, please see the After-Sales Services page.
Is complimentary shipping available for repairs?
In the case of repairs and other paid after-sales services, complimentary insured shipping to Japan is not included. Please make your own shipping arrangements through FedEx for smooth customs clearance and transportation of your goods. After the repair or maintenance process has been completed, return shipping to the US will be provided at no additional charge.

Jewelry Repair Process: Detailed Information
Do you have an affiliated partner that performs repairs in the United States?
Unfortunately, we do not have affiliated partners performing repairs within the United States. In addition, please be aware that that we will not perform repairs on jewelry that has been repaired or altered by a company other than NIWAKA, no matter the circumstances. Furthermore, in that case we can no longer guarantee the quality of the jewelry.
Can jewelry purchased through the NIWAKA Online Store be repaired at a NIWAKA store in Japan?
Unfortunately, jewelry purchased through the NIWAKA Online Store cannot be accepted for repairs at a NIWAKA store in Japan. If you wish to have your jewelry repaired, please message us using the Contact Us page.
Can I get my jewelry cleaned at a NIWAKA store in Japan?
Yes, jewelry purchased through the NIWAKA Online Store can be cleaned at NIWAKA stores in Japan if you visit in person. Please make sure to message us in advance using the Contact Us page and provide your contact information, jewelry order details, the name of the store and the time you plan to visit.
In addition, please note that only some of our NIWAKA stores in Japan have English-speaking staff available.
Can jewelry purchased at a NIWAKA store in Japan be sent for repairs from the United States?
Unfortunately, jewelry purchased at NIWAKA stores in Japan can only be repaired at our stores in Japan and is not eligible for the NIWAKA Online Store after-sales services.
